Due to the appropriate chemical composition selection and additional surface preparation of the fibers, the fiberglass fabric provides additional protection against hot gases and aggressive chemicals in medium temperature environments.
For thermal insulation applications, fiberglass with a diameter of 8-13 µm is used, which has low thermal conductivity and a reduced specific heat value.
Fiberglass fabrics have twice the lower density and three times better thermal insulation properties compared to standard fiberglass semi-finished products and serve as the basis for all dimensions of insulation fabric.
